Dean’s Message

Thank you for visiting the Nile University’s Pharmacy Program website. As Coordinator, I am proud to share with you information about our program, staff and students. To improve our student’s education, we continually revise the curriculum and experiential activities to assure optimal educational outcomes. We are committed to make sure that each of our graduates has the scientific and biomedical background to be integrated into pharmaceutical and clinical skills and practices required for the provision of outstanding pharmaceutical and healthcare services in a patient-oriented setting and to utilize the broad scope of practice found locally, regionally and internationally. Pharmacy is a complex, exciting profession and is an integral part of the interdisciplinary healthcare environment. The responsibilities and scope of practice of the pharmacist continues to change. This requires a serious commitment to life-long learning in order to best serve the public interest.

To succeed with pharmacy’s inevitable change, part of our mission is to prepare our students for life-long learning.  They are being given the tools to be leaders in pharmaceutical care, to manage drug therapy, and to counsel patients on the proper use of medications. Acceptance to our five-year professional Pharmacy Program at the Nile University leads to the Bachelor of Pharmacy degree and is highly competitive. The Program prepares graduates to represent tomorrow’s leaders in the pharmacy profession and for careers in a variety of areas. About the Faculty of pharmacy

Introduction

People usually resort to the pharmacist as the first source of advice to help treat their minor or major health problems. This makes him the most accessible member of the health care team. The health institutes have recognized the significance and importance of the role of the pharmacy in appropriate health care provision. In response to these and to the society’s expectations for greater accountability to higher education, the Faculty of Pharmacy at the Nile University has designed its curriculum with the strength and the quality needed to build students ‘knowledge, skills and practice in pharmaceutical, biomedical and clinical sciences.

Vision

The Faculty of Pharmacy at the Nile University will lead the way toward effective local, regional and global health care by developing innovative teaching practices, advancing research and practice, and merging true entrepreneurial spirit with care and compassion.

The Faculty of Pharmacy will strive to achieve and maintain nation hinterland national re cognition for equality of professional degree program as well programming graduate education and research and to cultivate in tell intellectual notation and leadership and advance the practice of pharmacy to transform health care and enhance the lives of people and communities.

Mission

The mission of the Faculty of Pharmacy is to prepare graduates to be highly skilled, patient-centered health professionals capable of providing high quality health care to meet the diverse pharmaceutical care needs of citizens of Sudan and to serve the profession of pharmacy through a balanced program of education, research, service and patient care, The Faculty program in still-life long learning, community service and social responsibilities and fosters cultural sensitivity in all graduates.

The Faculty of Pharmacy is committed to the following values:
